Two December finishes & lots of hand finishing awaiting my motivation to kick into place.

These are 2 french freebies by Isabelle Haccourt Vautier. I just love this designer! I had thought to stitch a larger freebie over one on 28ct with the SS (southern sweet tea) and boy was that a mistake. I did part of one side and hated the way it looked! So I decided to stitch one of the smaller designs over two see picture above on the right) and loved it! The pink piece on the left is stitched with RG silk which my friend Kathy picked up for me. It was such a pleasure to work with! The dark green I used is good old DMC and I added petite gold mills beads to the biscornu edges. I do like the little sparkle that the beads add but boy do I hate using a beading needle! I have the darnest time threading it. So I find myself stitching using extra long fiber to avoid re-threading that darn needle.

I like the design but don't like the wings on the swan so I think I will be filling them in a little more. I am pretty happy about the look of my fiber choice but for the life of me I don't remember which I used. This heart is stitched on 14ct Aida.
